Anything handmade requires care and time to create, which is what makes handmade items so perfect for gift giving. They are meaningful, and I love to put my effort and heart into each item.

For as long as I can remember I have loved everything colourful, and yarn absolutely scratches that itch. Not to mention the texture options and the thrill of the bargain hunt.  All of that, combined with a desire to create, meant that crochet became a perfect fit.

I fell in love quite easily with crocheting, and I wanted to make all kinds of projects, but what to do with them all!? Setting up a for-profit store didn't feel quite right, but I thought maybe my hobby could make a difference; and Handmade from the Heart was born.

As a child I had hundreds of stuffed animals, a collection that I adored, so when I set out to learn crochet, I knew I wanted to make "amigurumi" or stuffed toys. I found crochet, like many, during a stressful time in my life, and it has turned into a joy filled hobby, where I am constantly learning new things!

I can't wait to keep creating!
